Thankful Thursday (17)

Linking up with Rebecca Jo today to talk about the little things I’ve been thankful for lately!

Affordable new glasses

I just had an appointment with the eye doctor and got some new glasses, but I was slightly disappointed by their selection. I just got some rectangular frames that looked like my old ones. I ended up ordering 3 new pairs from Firmoo because I realized… I wear glasses EVERY SINGLE DAY! I should have a little fun with it. I tend to go for square shapes because my face is so frigging round. I ended up paying about $60 total for all of them, including the prescription lenses and shipping. Can’t beat that deal!

Prescription delivery

I’m at Wegmans at least 5+ times a month, between running in for groceries and my 3 monthly prescriptions, and I finally just got fed up. HA! All 3 of my prescriptions come due at different times too, so I was constantly having to go in to pick them up. I am a busy working mama, and any way I can save time is a huge help to me, so I ended up signing up for their free prescription delivery service and now I’m getting them in the mail! I’m still at Wegmans all the time, it seems like, but now I’m there 3 times less a month. Fine by me!

Time with the besties

My best friends (Taylor + Katie) and I don’t get to spend nearly as much time as we used to (like… every day back in school) and we finally got together on Friday. They came to my house for pizza and girl’s night and it was just so nice to spend time together. Taylor also brought her baby boy and our little guys all had fun together!

Caleb potty training

My boy has been a major struggle to potty train. The process started last summer but he has always been resistant and we’ve been told not to push. And yes, everything was tried (prizes, special underwear, etc.). It finally seemed to click for some reason over the weekend and he’s made so much good progress. Let’s hope this keeps going! One less kid in diapers will be huge for us.]

Sweet words from Caleb

Speaking of Caleb, he is also such a sweet, gentle little soul. The other day he goes “I like your dress, Mommy!” I said “aww, what do you like about it?” and he said “your flowers.” He’s just so sweet, you don’t even know. I am so thankful for these boys of mine.

Lunch date with the family

On Saturday, my dad texted me to invite us to lunch with my parents and my brother’s family. We went to Rocky’s which is a super Italian place in the city. Always nice to spend time with my whole family, which includes Caleb, Holden, and his 3 boy cousins. #BoyTribe
