2018 FALL & HALLOWEEN HOME TOUR

You all know that I am a fall lover and Halloween fanatic. Halloween is my favorite day of the year, and I live for the fall season. I’m not exactly sure what it is about Halloween that I love so much, but I always have. I do love horror and all things spooky, so that could be part of it. All that said, I like to go all out with my decor for this season and I wanted to show you guys what I did for decor this year. My home decorating style is farmhouse, country, primitive, etc. My dream is for us to purchase a farm house out in the country someday. For now, I try to get that feeling as much as I can in our current house which is just about the opposite of a country farmhouse. Most people call my house “cozy,” and I love that. I hope you enjoy my decorations! This honestly isn’t even all of it, but I have so much that I’ll probably rotate it each year until we have a big enough home that I can use it all at the same time. Here we go!

Foyer & Entry

Here is the decor in my front foyer when you come through the front door. Everything is handmade and ordered from different crafters online!

Here’s a close up of the fake candies I ordered from eBay. I placed them near the front door so it would like we were handing them out to trick or treaters.

Here’s my Halloween village (Spooky Town) on my entryway table. This is what you see immediately when you walk up the stairs. I have a large village but only did this small “trick or treat” neighborhood set up this year because we’re busy right now with the baby. I’d like to do my full set up in the downstairs family room next year. I might leave it up all year down there since we really don’t utilize that space much at all. It’s a huge project to set up the village, so keeping it up might be cool and give the downstairs some use finally. I also have a downtown business area and a carnival for my Spooky Town.

Living Room

This is the decor on top of my TV stand and some close up shots. Most of these items were handmade. I order most of my things from sellers on Facebook, Etsy, or eBay. Any specific questions though, feel free to ask and I can let you know where I got all of these things.

This is an old chest in front of our living room window that I decorated. All handmade items again! What do you think of those little hand sewn Halloween “cookies?” Those are my favorite!

This is on our coffee table. The quilted table runner was made by my grandma (you’ll see a few more of those). The large pumpkin decoration is a wax warmer.

This is one of my end tables. The fall sign was custom ordered from eBay. The leaf is a wax warmer, and so is the Autumn Wishes decor. On the right is a candleholder from Bath and Body Works.

This is my other end table. Those three are all wax warmers, and another quilt from my grandma!

The corner of my living room. The white ceramic pumpkin and skull are wax warmers. All of the pumpkin dolls were handmade.

Dining Room

This is one of my favorite decor set ups in my house. This is just a small little cabinet in my dining room. The pumpkin is a wax warmer and there is another quilt from my grandma. They are all reversible too. On the other sides are fall/harvest looks which will be good for after Halloween.

Another cabinet in the dining room. The doll in the back was my splurge for the season and from a popular dollmaker who is quite expensive. I got it on eBay and she’s called “The Queen of Halloween.” Then the metal pumpkin on the left is a wax warmer, and I added the cute fall sign from Michaels.

This is my dining room table. You see another wax warmer there.

The corner cabinet in my dining room. I added the pumpkin doll and the three small pumpkins up top.

This is the hutch in my dining room. I added scarecrows and garland up top, made no changes on the top shelf, and decorated the bottom shelf with two Halloween dolls and dried pumpkins that I bought on eBay. I love the top of the cabinet, but I don’t love the way the two shelves are done. I’ve tried rearranging things but couldn’t get it quite right, so this will change next year.

Hallway

Along with the one cabinet in my dining room, this shelf that’s in my hallway is my other favorite set up of the year! I got the sign from Michaels, and all the dolls are handmades that I ordered from dollmakers and crafters on Facebook.

This shelf is at the end of my Hallway. Again, all these items were handmade and ordered. Because I’m a Halloween and horror junkie, I keep the bottom shelf with my little monster dolls up all year!

Bathroom

These are just a couple of little touches in our main bathroom. Not pictured is the Halloween soap and Kleenex – haha!

Kitchen

Again, just a few small touches in the kitchen since it’s small, not very functional, and doesn’t leave much room for decor.

Frankenstein is from Target and holds Jerry’s Splenda for coffee.

An old primitive cabinet that we use for storage has been decorated with these little cuties from Aldi!

A wax warmer in my kitchen and some pumpkin people next to my entryway table. I don’t love how the pumpkin people look so they will be displayed differently next year. I don’t love them on the floor like that.

And that's it! Happy Fall!
