Weigh-in Wednesday (2)

Hey everyone! It’s been two weeks since my last Wednesday update, so I have a little bit of news, but not a ton. Let’s get to it!

Weigh-in

In the two weeks since my last update, I’ve lost 3 more pounds for a total of 72.5 pounds lost so far. I’m only 2.5 pounds away from 75, my halfway mark! Ever since I hit the 50 pound milestone, I’ve been really excited about getting to 75.

Previously, I was doing strength training only once a week with my trainer, then doing cardio four times a week. Now, I’ve started adding in more strength training. So I’m working out about four days a week, and on each of those days, I do 40 minutes of cardio and 20 minutes of strength training. Now that I’ve lost a big chunk of weight, I thought it would be a good idea to add in some more weights in order to start toning and firming up. We’ll see how it goes!

Wedding

Well our date is now official: October 5, 2013! We’ve booked the church, reception hall, and photographer, so three of the biggest things are taken care of and officially booked with deposits down! We also signed up for the Pre-Cana at the church which will be in November. The wedding seems so far away, but I think it will be here sooner than we think, and I cannot wait to be his wife. We’ve been talking about our honeymoon and have a lot of ideas. We’re thinking Hawaii, a cruise, Disney, Las Vegas… we’ll see!

I took my four girls out to dinner to ask them to be in the wedding and we had a really nice time. My maid of honor is my best friend, Taylor, and my matron of honor is my sister in law, Sheena. My bridesmaids are my friend, Stephanie, who I’ve known since third grade, and my cousin, Brittany. I made them boxes that I saw on Pinterest to ask them. I spray painted them ivory, then stenciled their names on the front in purple, one of the wedding colors. When you open up the box, on the inside lid, I stenciled “couldn’t say I do without you!” and put a picture of the two of us as kids, then a picture of the two of us older, so the boxes were really personalized. Inside the box was a letter telling each girl why I wanted them to be in the wedding, and talking about our friendship over the years. I also included candies that were the color of the wedding (black and purple), and little crowns for the bachelorette party. I put in a picture of the bridesmaid dress I picked out, and a pin that said “bridesmaid” or “maid of honor.” I attached cute little tags to all of the things that said “read this,” “wear this,” “eat this.”
