Here’s a little look at what’s been bringing me joy lately — the small things, the everyday comforts, the random favorites that make life feel just a little bit better. From practical to indulgent, here’s what I’ve been loving lately…
❤️ Easy spinach and artichoke dip
I’ve now made this recipe twice and it’s to die for. There are a lot more complex recipes out there with more ingredients, but this one works great. I love it with Club crackers!
❤️ Dan + Shay's Obsessed
This is one of those rare albums that I listen to the whole way through, and love each and every song. This is what I’ve been listening to in my car nonstop lately. Other recent-ish “whole way through” CDs for me? The Greatest Showman Soundtrack and Sam Hunt’s Montevallo. What albums do you have that you listen to all the way through?
❤️ TLC Go App
I’m forever behind on all of my shows, and this app is coming in really handy because I love a lot of TLC shows! If you have a cable subscription, you can get this app and login with your cable ID then get access to basically all of their shows, all seasons, all episodes. Say whaaat?! I am currently catching up on 90 Day Fiance. I usually watch this on my Kindle in bed on nights that I feel like watching something.
❤️ NetGalley
I used NetGalley a few times years ago when I first got my Kindle Keyboard, but then I hadn’t used it since. Now that I have my Kindle Fire, I decided to try it out again. I’m really liking it! It’s fun to browse through and see what titles I might be able to get. Being a librarian, I’m pretty fortunate in that I get approvals for most things (though not all). I read on my Kindle / NetGalley books almost exclusively on my work breaks, then at home, I read a physical book. More on this in an upcoming post.
❤️ Cookies and Cream Pop Tarts
My mom randomly found some off brand cookies and cream “Pop Tarts” at the Dollar Tree a couple of months back, and Caleb and I both became obsessed. Why didn’t I even know they were a Pop Tart flavor before then?! Now when they don’t have them at the Dollar Tree, we go and get them at Wegmans because we basically always need to have them in the house now. Stupid, yes? So good though.
❤️ My favorite dress style
Last year, I went a little crazy shopping from Agnes and Dora. Like Lularoe, they’re a home based businesses and you have to shop through a rep. They’re higher quality than LLR and I love a lot of their styles. Lately, I’ve been wearing the heck out of my Curie dresses, which has now become my favorite of all of their clothes. I purchased about six Curies last year, and I love them so much that I might buy more. They’re working REALLY well as maternity dresses too. I got at least eight compliments when I wore it last week! Way to boost a chunky pregnant lady’s self-esteem, am I right?
❤️ Google Calendars
I talked about my newfound love for Google Docs last time, and now we can just go ahead and add Google Calendars to the list. I think I am waving goodbye to my paper planner at this point (RIP) and going all Google now. I keep track of everything on there and can access it from literally anywhere. I track my blog schedule, work schedule, appointments, social activities, etc. I love the convenience of being able to access it so easily. I might try and get Jerry added to the calendar somehow so he can see what all is going on.
❤️ A healthy friend
This is the very best thing I’m loving lately. Without going into details, because it’s not my story, someone whom I love more than life itself was going through some very scary medical things last week.
That’s what I’ve been loving lately — now it’s your turn. What little things are making you smile right now?
