April continued to be a very, very weird month. I worked remotely for the entire month, and only left the house for things like prescriptions and food. I thought I’d get a lot more done and be more productive, but this is a strange time where it’s been kind of hard to stay motivated. Anyone else? Anyway, here’s how it went.
📌 April Goals Recap
- ❌ Read 8 books: Fail. I got close with 6.5, but not quite there! Still an excellent reading month, though.
- ❌ Re-read Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets: Fail. Too busy with book club books!
- ✅
Watch 3 movies:DONE. I’ll tell you which ones on my monthly wrap up post. - ❌ Watch and finish The Good Doctor OR The Resident (season one for either): I chose The Good Doctor, and it is SO good, but I’m only a few episodes in so far.
- ❌ Watch and finish Making a Murderer: I didn’t realize that this had 2 seasons and was very long. I love it and am ALMOST done, but have a few episodes left.
- ✅
Start The Circle:DONE. I started it and am about halfway through so far. - ❌ Clean off the dining room table: Fail.
- ❌ Clean out my car: Fail.
- ✅
Clean out the fridge and wash shelves:DONE. Jerry actually did this and I didn’t even ask him to! - ❌ Clean out the freezer: Fail.
- ✅
Support at least two small, local businesses:DONE. We supported a TON of local small businesses: Something Delicious, Krazy Cakes, Bella Pasta, Carmine’s, Neu Cookies.
Total Completed: 4 of 11
🎯 May Goals
It’s kind of challenging for me to think about and plan ahead for May because I still don’t have a date to report back to work. I’ve been working remotely since mid-March, and am not quite sure when we will re-open. Nevertheless, here are some goals. Many of them will be rollovers.
- Read 7 books
- Re-read Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
- Finish Making a Murderer
- Finish season one of The Good Doctor
- Finish The Circle
- Finish The Handmaid’s Tale (we still have a few eps of season 2 and all of season 3)
- Watch 2 movies
- Clean out the freezer
- Clean out the car
- Get an oil change
- Exercise 6 times
And that’s what I got! What’s one of your goals for May?
